Planning for Personal Learning (Genius Hour) Time
Guidelines: It’s a Process
You will be working on your own, with limited assistance from your parents and/or teacher.
Choose something new you wouldn’t ordinarily do in class. Find a problem to solve, or explore something you are curious about.
You must plan to produce a product*, in addition to a tri-fold display of your research and learning.
Write a proposal and respond to teacher feedback.
Come prepared to research and/or create during each Genius Hour session.
Reflect on your project
regularly
in writing [blog check at conference]
Create a tri-fold display with information from your planning sheet, research, and learning.
Present your project in a 3-5 minute TED-style talk to the class.
Failure is
an option: It teaches you.
